History

For over 50 years, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington have been at the forefront of youth development. We exist to help disadvantaged youth develop the values and qualities essential to becoming responsible, productive and caring member of the community.

We provide diverse activities that meet the needs and interests of all youth.  Core programs engage young people in activities with caring adults, peers and family members.  Our five core program areas are Character & Leadership Development, Education & Career Development, Health & Life Skills, the Arts and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.

Over 8,000 children are taking advantage of programs, activities and services six days a week for an annual membership fee of $20 at five neighborhood branch locations and 13 after school extensions.

Sixty percent of members are severely economically disadvantaged and over half come from single parent households.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Arlington have actively sought to enrich the lives of girls and boys whom other youth agencies fail to reach.
